The company was founded in 1989 by Mr. Uyterhoeven as an insurance broker.

In 2024, Idoneus Ltd acquired A. Uyterhoeven Insurance NV. This company has been restructured into Idoneus Belgium NV and has opened a registered office in Antwerp.

The restructuring is still in full swing and focuses primarily on specializing in metals such as copper, aluminum, and gold.

The objective is to provide direct deliveries from the mine to the end user. This complies with international legislation on money laundering practices.
